The Bible is filled with compelling chronicles of individuals who demonstrated the necessity of staying vigilant and responsive in their spiritual journeys. From David’s courageous faith as he faced Goliath, readying himself for battle, to Esther’s relentless determination to risk her life to save her people, these figures had to remain alert to the challenges surrounding them. Their stories highlight the importance of being prepared to act decisively when faced with adversity, demonstrating how their faith and quick thinking guided them through times of uncertainty and danger. Each example is a powerful reminder of the strength found in vigilance and the readiness to confront life’s trials head-on.

God doesn’t always elevate trials straight away. He permits things to keep us on our toes, teaching us to be instant in and out of season. (2 Timothy 4:2)

God allows challenges to help us grow. They push us out of our comfort zones and force us to face our limits. By overcoming these obstacles, we learn more about ourselves, change our approaches, and find strengths we didn’t know we had. On the other hand, avoiding difficulties can lead to stagnation, keeping us from reaching our full potential. Embracing challenges is essential for unlocking our capabilities and supporting our spiritual growth. These experiences keep us engaged on our spiritual path.

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.” Philippians 3:14-16 KJV

Earthbound Prayers

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:18 KJV

Countless times, I’ve kneeled in prayer, my heart heavy with hopes and desires. Yet, instead of the divine breakthrough I longed for, my words felt like they were met with an impenetrable wall, echoing back into the silence, leaving me with a profound sense of isolation and unanswered yearning.

I needed a momentary escape on Monday evening, so I settled down for a nap, eager to recharge my spirit. As the soft lull of sleep enveloped me, I was gently roused from my slumber at 6:09 pm. In that quiet moment, I distinctly heard the Lord speaking —deep and resonant—calling to me, revealing to me, “You are praying earthbound prayers.” The words hung in the air, a compelling reminder that prompted me to reflect on the nature of my prayers. It made sense, I wasn’t pressing with all my heart, mind, and soul.

As a mother approaches childbirth, she experiences a complex and intense process. When the time comes, she engages in the act of pushing, using her strength and determination to help the baby navigate through the birth canal and into the world. This moment is accompanied by powerful contractions of the womb, which work in tandem with the mother’s efforts to aid in the delivery. Physical effort is what will bring that child into the world.

Intercessory prayer is not casual or straightforward; it requires deep commitment and earnestness. To truly reach the heavens and effect meaningful change in impossible circumstances, we must engage with a heartfelt intensity, pushing past our comfort zones and pressing into the process with determination and focus. Heaven will move when we get into a kingdom mindset.

A call to prayer

Today, I felt a profound urge from the Lord to earnestly seek His presence as we stand on the brink of momentous transformations poised to unfold not just within the borders of America but globally.

At around 10:15 p.m., I saw a vision of Esther in a flowing white gown gracefully approaching the majestic throne. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation. In that divine moment, I heard the Lord’s voice resonate within me, saying, “Esther, it is time for you to step forward to the throne. Your intercession holds the key to transforming the course of events ahead.”

On April 22nd, I received a profound prophetic message indicating that substantial global changes are on the horizon. As I focus on this revelation, I will pause my blogging activities from the 21st to the 25th. During this time, I will dedicate myself to a deep intercession session, earnestly seeking to connect with God and understand His will during these pivotal times.

Healing and deliverance are within our reach, and we should not let fear take hold. Instead of viewing specific individuals or circumstances as adversaries, we need to shift our focus and recognize that Satan is the true enemy. It’s time to embrace hope and understanding, allowing us to confront our struggles with clarity and strength.

Diabolical alliances are coming to an end, for God is just beginning. God will always have the first and last word. One night, I sent forth a ball of darkness and a ball of pure light. When the two collided, the light engulfed the darkness, creating a path of illumination above the earth. As it formed a complete circle, the glory of God descended upon the earth.

The Power of Persuasion

The impact of our words is immense; they hold the remarkable capacity to dismantle entire kingdoms or to elevate them to new heights of greatness. This profound truth is exemplified in the historical encounter when Paul, a fervent apostle, stood before King Agrippa, a ruler of significant authority. With passion and conviction, Paul articulated the message of Christ, sharing his experiences and the transformative power of faith.

As Paul spoke, the air was charged with tension and possibility. After absorbing the weight of Paul’s words, King Agrippa, clearly moved yet conflicted, replied with his famous statement, “You almost persuade me to be a Christian. (Acts 26:1-29) This moment summarizes the essence of persuasion—a subtle yet profound influence that can sway hearts and minds, prompting individuals to reconsider their beliefs and convictions.

So, what exactly is persuasion? It is the art and skill of directing thoughts, actions, and emotions through language, enabling individuals to see the world differently. At its core, persuasion is about connection and understanding, fostering dialogue that can lead to meaningful change.

I completed a course in Advertising Arts, where we explored the intricacies of persuading consumers to choose a company’s product over others. The course’s primary objective was to understand the psychology behind consumer behavior and develop compelling narratives highlighting the unique benefits and value of products. We delved into various advertising techniques, from creative storytelling to visual design, to communicate why potential customers should be drawn to a brand’s offerings.

Persuasion is a powerful force that can significantly influence people’s decisions and actions. It is the process by which one person or entity attempts to convince another person or group to change their beliefs or behaviors. Unlike coercion, persuasion allows the individuals receiving the message to choose whether or not to act on it.

To truly embrace Jesus’ teachings, we need to be fully convinced in our hearts and minds. This journey requires us to actively let go of our worldly desires and the distractions of life that pull us away from a spiritual path. It’s a commitment to prioritize faith over fleeting pleasures, allowing ourselves to be transformed by His message and example.

Reveal Your Glory

“What now? What do we do? There’s no way out! Why did God lead us to dwell in this destitution?” Fear stole their hope, strangling the fire that God’s wonders brought. We’ve all been in the children of Israel’s state of mind. “No way out of this situation. I don’t see it.” Well, my friend, our perspective is off.

Deep in thought, I’ve often imagined God yawning after the flick of His finger. Nothing challenges Him! “Give me another prayer.” He’s God all by Himself. God promised Abraham he would father many nations. He swore by Himself, why? No one exceeded His greatness. No one or thing ever will. Hebrews 6:13

Isaiah 45:11, one of my many favorite passages, says, … “Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” Wow! Amazing! Commanding in this verse is not to approach Him disrespectfully. God is inviting us to declare what He has already promised. “God, manifest Your power in this situation. Reveal Your unattainable power in the courtroom. Jesus, reveal Your redeeming power in the life of my loved ones. I declare it done!

“Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.” (Numbers 23:20). God said in this passage He received commandment to bless: He has blessed, sealed and delivered! I love this! (Paraphrasing) “Ask Me about the blessing reserved for your sons and daughters. Anything concerning them, let Me reveal it to you.” I love God’s invitations to come boldly before the throne of grace Paul wrote about in Hebrews 4:16. Seek His face, not His hand. He loves our adoration towards Him.

“Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?” (Isaiah 43:13 KJV) Not one of them can do what only God can do. Maybe you have situations at work, in a friendship or healing in your marriage, or bad relationships from the past. He’ll do it His way. He knows how to orchestrate people, places, and things. God sees the intent of hearts, the condition of the mind, and the state of our being. We truly believe we know ourselves until He unveils strengths and weaknesses.

“The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” (Proverbs 20:27 KJV)

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10 KJV

Hebrews 4:12 says, He’s the discerner of our thoughts and intents of the heart. Don’t underestimate your earnest prayers. Fervently

God spoke to Noah in a cramped-up situation He created—animals of every kind, family, and perhaps other necessities. God makes us uncomfortable on purpose to motivate us out of comfort. (Genesis 8:1-8) The unseen cocoon we are experiencing is a time of growth. Use it, ask Him to show His glory as Moses did in Exodus 33:18.

Intercessory Prayer

“Do not run from the fire; instead, rise up and intercede from the heights.” This statement resonated deeply with me. It underscores a crucial truth: frequently, we overlook that our struggles are not merely physical challenges but a spiritual battle that requires more than earthly strength.

The term “interceding” conveys the idea of actively stepping in to pause or disrupt the influences of darkness and negativity. It implies a commitment to preventing the spread of harm or evil by intervening on behalf of those vulnerable or affected, striving to restore light and positivity in challenging situations. Intercessory prayer demands immense strength and commitment; it goes far beyond simple, casual prayer. It requires deep emotional investment, perseverance, and a steadfast spirit as one advocates for others, seeking divine intervention.

Moses played a pivotal role as an intercessor for the people of Israel, fervently pleading with God to show them mercy during times of rebellion and sin. His heartfelt prayers sought to prevent divine wrath and to remind God of the promises made to their ancestors.

Similarly, Esther, demonstrating immense courage and devotion, undertook a period of fasting and prayer to intercede on behalf of her people. In the face of Haman’s wicked conspiracy to annihilate the Jews, she risked her own life by approaching King Xerxes, determined to reveal her identity and plead for the safety of her nation.

Abraham also took on the mantle of intercession when he implored God on behalf of his nephew Lot, who resided in the morally compromised city of Sodom. Abraham negotiated with God with great compassion, asking Him to spare the city if a certain number of righteous individuals could be found within it. This showcased his deep concern for Lot’s welfare and the desire to see justice tempered with mercy.

We must persist in our prayers and seek refuge in the overwhelming presence of the Almighty God, finding solace and strength in His wonderful embrace.

Then said he unto me, “Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.” And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, “ O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. I found myself in an astonishingly vivid dream, as if I were living in an alternate reality. Every detail was crystal clear, from the vibrant colors around me to the sounds that seemed to echo right in my ears. The sensations were profoundly immersive, making it hard to believe I wasn’t awake.

This is my dream: David’s slingshot sliced through the crisp air, its distinctive whirring sound echoing in the quietness of the army’s anticipation. He deftly twirled the stone within the leather pouch with deliberate precision, feeling its smooth weight in his hand. Each motion was calculated as he prepared to aim at his target with unwavering focus and determination. He ignored the taunted and mockery coming from the enemy’s mouth. At the right time, he put his aim in motion. The stone penetrated through the giant’s skull; then, David used Goliath’s sword to cut his head off. It came after a series of tough days where I faced various challenges. In this dream, I was in a serene setting, surrounded by a great light. Suddenly, I heard a comforting voice that resonated deep: “I am mighty in you.” This message echoed through my thoughts, filling me with a sense of strength and reassurance that I desperately needed. God reminded me He is the power within me to overcome adversity. The dream left me with a renewed sense of hope and a clearer perspective on my struggles.

When the Heat is Turned Up

Last night, during a long phone call, my friend and I delved into a heartfelt discussion about the trials we face in life. As we spoke, she began to share a powerful message God had given her regarding the fiery furnace. The image of that relentless blaze, a symbol of testing and perseverance, resonated deeply in our conversation, reflecting the challenges we navigate and the faith that sustains us through those difficult moments.

“Angie, during a moment of deep reflection, the Holy Spirit spoke to me, saying, ‘Darlene, when the heat of life’s challenges rises and the thermostat is turned up, that’s the time to increase your praise and intensify your prayers.”

At this moment, we find ourselves navigating through extraordinary and challenging times. The world is marked by unprecedented adversity, presenting obstacles and trials that test our resilience in ways we have not experienced before. On the other hand, God is at work. My grandmother would say to me, “If Satan weren’t fighting, he already has you.” My friend’s devoted evangelist grandfather would say, “I don’t want anyone laying hands on me to pray if the devil isn’t fighting; that tells me they don’t have a prayer life. They are dead, and the devil knows it.”

Perscilla Shier shared a heartfelt personal story about her son, illustrating a profound lesson she learned from him through a unique experience. As she immersed herself in the creative process of writing her manuscript, her son perceived her deep concentration as idleness. He couldn’t see her work’s quiet, powerful energy, leading her to realize that sometimes the most significant endeavors happen in silence, away from daily life’s visible hustle and bustle. “All day you sit on your computer doing nothing,” he replied. She began explaining how we assume God is not doing anything when He’s working behind the scenes.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 KJV

Peace Passed Understanding

This morning, just after the clock struck 5 a.m., I found myself wrapped in the Lord’s overwhelming, tangible presence in my bedroom. The early morning light filtered softly through the curtains, glowing gently around me. As I sat in stillness, the words of Philippians 4:1-8 echoed in my mind, bringing with them a profound sense of tranquility that transcended any understanding rooted in the earthly realm. It was a divine peace, wholly unique and unachievable by anything the world could offer, and in that moment, I felt its comforting embrace wash over me thoroughly.

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:1-8 KJV)

Let’s break these verses down.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. “

Don’t be afraid to confide in God about your needs, concerns, or struggles. Tell Him all about it, then give Him a heartfelt thank you and praise for who He is! Gratitude is the key to finding peace amid our struggles.

As I sat at the table, a moment of divine communication occurred when the Lord spoke to me, saying, “Darlene, too many of My people are pleading with me for the things I have promised them. I’m patiently waiting for them to believe in my promises.” For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV)

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

The peace of God is unexplainable. It’s one of those things you have to experience for yourself.

The world tries to imitate peace. A peace that is a false peace. The enemy masks sin as being better than serving God. Hebrews 11:24-25 says, “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;” It’s not worth it! Jesus is the true peace!

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Meditation on God’s teachings serves as a powerful practice for the soul, inviting you to reflect deeply on His word and seek a profound understanding of His wisdom. It is essential to recognize that not all thoughts that arise within your mind originate from the divine. When your thoughts stray from truth, purity, or beauty and fail to illuminate your path or foster enlightenment, they cannot be from God. In moments of uncertainty, turn to God in prayer, asking Him to bless you with the discernment necessary to navigate between good and evil. Trust that He will unveil the truth of your circumstances, guiding you toward clarity and insight.

Beloved, I am testifying for the first time in my life. I have had a steady, sound mind for months! God has healed my thoughts!

God is good, and I pray you will grow in grace and abundance in His spirit!

God’s Validation

As I slowly awakened this morning, I took a moment to reflect on the myriad prophetic promises spoken over my life. Some of those promises have beautifully unfolded, revealing their truth in my journey, while others still linger on the horizon, patiently waiting to manifest in their own time.

Throughout my life, I have experienced moments that showcased the immense power of God, instances where I felt His presence guiding me through challenges and offering me peace in turbulent times. Despite witnessing this divine intervention, I often grapple with an overwhelming urge to prove my worth to others. It’s a constant struggle as I seek validation and recognition in various aspects of my life. Today served as a potent reminder from God that I am inherently valuable and do not need to prove my worth through my actions or accomplishments. This realization brought me a deep sense of relief and freedom, allowing me to embrace who I am without the burden of external expectations.

It’s all too easy to get entangled in trivial aspects of life that ultimately hold no significance. God alone can renew my spirit and ultimately judge my actions and intentions in the grand scheme of existence.

As I started to reflect on my interactions, I wondered what this person might think about me—what assumptions or judgments they might hold about my character and intentions. God always replies, “Darlene, does it matter? I know the truth. I see the secret things.”

I love this quote: “Let God fight your battles; He hasn’t lost one yet.” This statement resonates deeply with me, as it is a powerful reminder of God’s strength and unwavering power. The idea that God, with His infinite wisdom and strength, always prevails in adversity is incredibly reassuring. It encourages us to trust Him during tough times, knowing that He has overcome every challenge in the past and will continue to do so in our lives. With this belief, we can face our struggles with peace and confidence, knowing we are not alone in our fights.

Having “God Confidence” is the number one priority in this life.
