Opened Door

Opened Door

Author Darlene J. Conard

“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” 1 Corinthians 16:9 KJV

God works in mysterious ways, and sometimes when a door opens, we may encounter spiritual opposition. It’s important to recognize where the enemy is influencing people and situations, even when things seem harmless on the surface.

Strong’s Hebrew Greek Concordance Reference No. 1754 states that “effectual” means intensifying work, propelling a situation from one stage to the next, much like an electrical current energizing a wire and lighting up a bulb. This signifies that when God opens a significant door, He equips us to do mighty works. It demonstrates His trust in us, not because we’re perfect, but because we’ve reached a new level of capability.

Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east:And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. Ezekiel 43: 1-5 KJV

This passage from the Bible reminds us that God’s presence fills our lives, and we can take comfort in the knowledge that He is watching over us. It’s important to continue seeking Him and basking in His glory.

God never closes a door without opening another. Praise Him it’s the way!
