“Answered prayer becomes the rule and not the exception for those who abide in Christ and are immersed in His Word. Jennifer Eivaz
As I stared into the darkness, I reflected on the biblical text that I had been reading. I noticed that all the battles won were due to men and women trusting in God. For instance, Josiah became king at the tender age of eight, while Samuel was just a boy when he responded to the voice of God. On the other hand, Joseph, Jacob’s son, fell victim to his jealous brothers who stole away thirty-one years of his life. To make matters worse, his mother passed away before he could see her again. It all seems so unfair. However, by reading chapter 39 in Genesis, you will see how Joseph’s life in Egypt played out.
Deborah, on the other hand, was not only a prophet but also a judge of Israel. I observed that all the minute details of their lives depended on them following God’s instructions. It amazes me how imperfect mankind is, yet God still desires to call us into His glory.
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” John 15:16 KJV
